WorldGranny is a non-profit organization that aims towards empowerment for older people, particularly for older women, and to the reduction of (extreme) poverty.
WorldGranny contributes to the improvement of the quality of life of older people, their families and their communities in developing countries. In the Netherlands, WorldGranny works on creating awareness of the situation of older people in developing countries and recruits funding to support projects there. Our History

WorldGranny was founded in 2004 by Caroline van Dullemen. Caroline has traveled a lot as journalist through Africa, where she spoke regularly with older women.

Our projects

WorldGranny is involved in projects worldwide. Together with local organization, we work in the regions Africa, Asia and Latin America.
In the Netherlands, WorldGranny works on creating awareness on the situation of older people in developing countries global issues of ageing.

Social and Micro Pensions

WorldGranny is partner with HelpAge International (HAI). Together, we work with the Dutch Pension funds in realizing social pensions in developing countries.
Furthermore, WorldGranny has taken the lead of the Pension & Development Network. Through this network of financial organizations, The Netherlands Central Bank and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we assist Micro Finance Institutes in the setting up of micro pension schemes.
